Pravina Palanisamy
Pravina is one of our most determined mentors. From the age of 14, she started working and saving to pay for her University education. Her vision for 2025 is seeing womxn of color properly represented in the environmental movement.
100 WORDS FROM PRAVINA:
My name is Pravina and I am a part time research assistant with the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness through York University. I graduated with a BA in Environmental and Urban sustainability, and currently pursuing a second degree in Global Political Science.
I am passionate about the effects of climate change and its challenges for girls and womxn in marginalized communities on a local and global scale. I have worked for non-profits and with youth in underprivileged communities. In the future, I hope to guide and empower womxn and girls be the baddest that they can be.
